Ad Astera Productions was established by Veteran South African filmmaker, Dirk de Villiers who has revolutionised the South African film industry over the past 40 years.

With an impressive track record of 28 Feature Films, Documentaries and TV Dramas, Dirk de Villiers is known as the "Godfather" of filmmaking in South Africa.
As a personal friend to the legendary Heart Transplant Pioneer, Prof Chris Barnard, Dirk's lifetime dream is to tell the life story of this Medical Mastermind to the world.

Dirk together with the Ad Astera team are committed to producing the highest quality work as well as breaking new ground in filmmaking to aspire to International success.
